NOVA Women in Business Mentorship Program

The NWiB Mentorship Program provides mutual benefits for students and firms

Our mentorship program spans one semester, typically lasting 10-12 weeks. It's tailored primarily for female Master’s students at NOVA University. The application process is conducted online, followed by matching based on a questionnaire.

Throughout the program, participants engage in various events such as a Kick-Off, guided meetings, a Closing Event, and regular feedback cycles. Mentees receive certificates upon completion.

For mentors and firms, this program offers a unique opportunity to showcase their organization to a pool of highly talented individuals. They benefit from exclusive exposure and a chance to highlight their support for women in their respective industries.

By participating, mentors have direct access to exceptional students, allowing them to gauge their potential on a personal level. They can also conduct practice and real interviews, potentially identifying candidates for future employment.

Overall, the program facilitates seamless connections between motivated students and firms, enabling both parties to assess if there's a mutual fit for future collaboration.

Louise Mitton, Mentor, Consultant Workforce & Organization, Capgemini Invent

During my time as a mentor I found the interactions with my mentees to be mutually enriching. Regularly meeting with them online, building relationships and offering guidance based on my own experiences was fulfilling. I appreciated learning from their ideas and wishes regarding their future career as much as they might have learned from my professional insights, including giving advice and opening doors for them in their career. I strongly suggest taking part in this enriching opportunity!

The WIB mentoring programme was an incredibly insightful experience! I received invaluable insight and practical advice from my lovely mentor, with whom I was able to talk about both my professional and personal challenges. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend this opportunity to anyone considering participating in the programme!

As a NOVA SBE Master's student and WiB club member, having personally experienced the Mentorship Program last semester, I can attest to its value. My mentorship journey was not only enriching but also led to a lasting connection with my mentor, with whom I still maintain a wonderful relationship. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to all NOVA students seeking personal and professional growth. Join us in experiencing the transformative power of mentorship and embark on a journey of empowerment and success!
